Bitten by a genetically-enhanced acorn, Francois Noyer took on all the abilities of a nut (most notably a tough outer-shell and causing severe irritation to those with nut allergies). He has since vowed vengeance on all nuts, seeds, and legumes. Noyer (now called The Nutcracker) won't stop until he brings justice to the mutated acorn that made him into the nut he is today.

For the next batch of supers I'm going to be digging into the creations of my youth. When I was a younger lad, me and my buddies played a supers rpg called Villains and Vigilantes. We were obsessed with it for years and populated it with a wide variety of colorful characters. This was shortly after the limited series called the Psycho (written by James Hudnall and Illustrated by Dan Brereton) was released. We became enamored with the idea of a potentially lethal super serum that could grant powers but also possibly cause mental instability so our game was heavily influenced by the concept. The characters that were created were appropriately "edgy" and angst ridden and I admit I loved them all. In fact Happy Jack was created during those years. I thought I'd share them with you to help me get over the hump and alleviate the super's drought.

I'm having a blast painting in Brushes. It's a simple program, and it's pretty robust. One great thing about the program is that is saves the brush strokes. I downloaded the Viewer and exported a movie of the process for those of you that might wonder how these Supers come about. As you'll see, I was doing a bit of "fishing" for this one.
